Ancient Roman Hangover Remedies.

If you've ever watched a movie featuring a bunch of ancient Romans, you know they are portrayed as exibiting some rather extreme behavior. Hangover cures from this ancient civilization seems to reinforce that same stereotype.

Ancient Roman's used to dine on sheep lungs and two owl eggs the morning after. Forgive us, but we don't have the actual recipe. And we don't know a host of other questions you may have including what makes sheep lungs so effective, why use owl eggs vs. any other type of eggs, and maybe the most importantly, how in the heck could you even think about slurping down either of those two things with a nauseous hangover?

If there are any roman historians out there that could enlighten us, we would be greatful for the explaination. In the meantime, when in Rome, maybe do to something other than doing what ancient romans did.

    Other hangover 'remedies'.

    Here's a list of home remedies we've found that supposedly taking care of that massive, pounding hangover. Some are from bartentders, some are just folklore. Some are even billed as natural ways to take care of 'the dog that bit 'ya'. Just remember, only time and water are what most doctors and scientists believe in. That, and the fact that prevention is often the best form of medicine.
