Bananas are considered a natural hangover remedy in two views.
One of the effects of drinking alcohol is, well, having to pee. Sometimes, a lot.
When you pee, you lose potassium. And we are guessing if you have a hangover your body is begging for the potassium it lost and now craves.
Bananas can replenish a person's body with the potassium it craves. So those foods can help, but sad to say, as good as they taste, they are probably still not the end-all cure-all for a hangover.
Still looking for a natural food that would do the trick? One mom would approve of? Good old fashioned time and water are probably the closest thing most doctors and scientists would even entertain as a so-called 'cure'.
