Good morning. You have a hangover. What's a person who has drank too much the night before to do? Go to the fridge and grab some Orange Juice to fix that pesky, thobbing dehydration, right?

Well, juices like OJ can help hydrate your body, which is good. But fruit and fruit juices contain fructose - which is sugar. And many orange juices contain a lot of sugar. Like caffine, sugar can help wake you up but unfortunately, it won't fend off the headache. It may actually do the opposite - make you more acutely aware of that pounding headache.

Bottom line, a glass or three of orange juice, apple juice or even pinnapple juice isn't the natural food magic bullet.

Want a natural food that both mom would approve of and that would do the trick? Good old fashioned time and water are probably the closest thing most doctors and scientists would even entertain as a so-called hangover 'cure'.

Some are even billed as natural ways to take care of 'the dog that bit 'ya'. Just remember, only time and water are what most doctors and scientists believe in. That, and the fact that prevention is often the best form of medicine.
